Tanfoglio Force
Fratelli Tanfoglio S.p.A. · Pistol · In Production · 1997
Also known as: Defiant Force, IFG Force
Overview
The Tanfoglio Force is an Italian semi-automatic pistol introduced in 1997 by Fratelli Tanfoglio. It is a polymer-framed development of the steel-framed Tanfoglio T95 Combat, itself a derivative of the CZ 75 with a Browning-type linkless locked-breech action. Like the CZ 75, the slide rides inside the frame rails rather than outside, giving a tight slide-to-frame fit and good accuracy. The Force uses a frame-mounted ambidextrous safety that permits 'cocked and locked' carry, plus an internal firing-pin block, and was offered in a range of service and action-shooting calibers.
